Is the compensation always 15,000,000 UAH (~$362,000)?
It should not be presented as automatic. It is a relevant legal reference for certain cases, but every file requires verification of eligibility, beneficiaries, documentation, and circumstances. The USD equivalent is indicative and varies with the exchange rate.
Can I start if documents are missing?
Yes. The initial application helps identify what is missing and which documents must be prepared, legalised, or requested. You don’t need everything completed to start.
Do I need to travel to Ukraine?
Not always. Many steps can be handled via representation or power of attorney, although some banking or administrative steps may require in-person presence or additional verification.
Who can claim?
It depends on the family relationship and applicable rules: spouse, children, parents, guardians, dependents, or other recognised beneficiaries depending on the case.
What if the application is rejected?
The reasons are reviewed. If there are documentary or legal grounds, a correction, additional documentation, or an appeal through the appropriate route may be considered depending on the case.
