Good news: With the preventive registration active, LDV already has the basic details. Documents can be provided in phases — urgent ones first.

Death certificate

Issued by Ukrainian authorities. If not available, LDV can help obtain it.

Beneficiary family member's passport

Valid identity document of the person who will claim.

Proof of family relationship

Marriage certificate, birth certificate or equivalent.

Military documentation of the deceased

Contract, credential or extract proving service in ZSU or International Legion.

Issued by the unit. LDV or the lawyer can request it directly.
